We would first like to thank you for visiting our website, and the 10000+ visitors that have stayed with us in the past 5 1/2 years. We are located in the heart of Southern Illinois in Jonesboro. We adjoin approximately 800 acres of the Shawnee Forest for your hiking enjoyment. We currently have 2 log cabins available for rental. Visit us for a one night getaway or stay a week. Our Log Cabins are excellent for honeymoons, vacations, anniversaries, a surprise, the ideas are unlimited!

We offer all the comforts of home without the responsibilities. Located 5 miles SW of Carbondale, Woodland Cabins sit at the edge of Southern IL rolling hills and the Shawnee National Forest. Woodland Cabins offers 90 acres of privacy where mature woods are interspersed with open fields. Two ponds offer fishing, paddle boating, bird watching and relaxation. Deer and wild turkey are frequent visitors as well as pilated woodpeckers, songbirds, and migrating water fowl. Whether meeting the morning sun or putting daylight to rest, the tranquility from your private deck overlooking the pond remains uncompromised. Devil's Kitchen Cabins
We welcome you to Devil's Kitchen Cabins, owned and operated by Lynn and Jan Bush. We have both lived in the Jackson/Williamson County area all of our lives and truly love living in Southern Illinois . We are the fourth generation to live on this property. We currently have one cabin available for rental, with plans to build additional cabins on our 80 + acre property in the near future. Our first hideaway log cabin is located deep in the woods of Southern Illinois , in the midst of several thousand acres of the Shawnee National Forest , and is adjacent to the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge, Devil's Kitchen Lake , Little Grassy Lake, Crab Orchard Lake , Cedar Lake and Lake of Egypt . We are centrally located, approximately a 10-15 minute drive from Carbondale , Marion , Herrin, Carterville and Goreville. We are also located less than a 30-minute drive from Kincaid Lake and Rend Lake . Hiking trails that wind all around Devil's Kitchen Lake are adjacent to our property.
