Coral Bay Dive Resort
Coral Bay Dive Resort is located on Guanaja Island in Honduras. Guanaja Island is a lush island paradise, the same one from the pages of Robinson Crusoe’s adventures.
Coral Bay Dive Resort
The Coral Bay Dive resort is an isolated spot located at 16.29 N latitude and 85.54 W longitude. The Guanaja Island was first “discovered” by Columbus on his 4th journey in 1502. It has a rich, documented history, but it will feel raw and unpopulated by western tourists. The only way for tourists to get to the Coral Bay Dive resort is by air and the resort will send a complimentary shuttle to pick up guests.
Known for its diving, the Coral Bay Dive resort also offers an active and/or relaxing experience for non-divers as well. There are miles of pristine beaches and jungle filled mountain paths. You can sail, ride horses, snorkel, canoe, kayak, fish, deep-sea fish, dolphin watch or just laze on the beach. The resort has a pool, some spa services, and a bar famous for the parrots that join you for a drink. The Coral Bay Dive resort is also known as a great getaway for honeymooners. Each cabana boasts breathtaking views of the ocean and the mountains loom behind the resort. It is a great place to feel connected to the passions of nature.
The Coral Bay Dive resort offers both a main resort and an exclusive resort. The main difference between the two is that the exclusive resort cabanas are more isolated and directly on the beach. There is very little difference between the two in price – it is a first come, first serve, kind of situation. Each bedroom is decorated in island style. They are simple with single or queen beds and decorated with local island art, like stone masks. Each room has its own private bathroom and balcony. The cabanas open up to let the fresh ocean breezes provide you with the natural air conditioning. On the resort is a beautiful, clean waterfall, and guests can partake in the sweet drinking water.
However, despite all that has been mentioned, The Coral Bay Dive resort is obviously best known for its diving opportunities. The variety of sea life is astounding and the island is virtually surrounded by untouched barrier reefs. The resort offers access to 35 moored dive sites, which include everything from caves, shallow reefs, deep dives, canyons, and wrecks. Because of the island’s geography and geology, diving is available 95% of the time. Lessons are available for people new to the sport.
The Coral Bay Dive resort is an all-inclusive resort, including 3 meals per day. There is no other nightlife on the island. High-speed internet service is available for a fee. For more information, call 1-877-682-9054.
