Dominican Republic Resorts

The Oasis Hamaca is located in the La Romana district. Ranked highly for price and luxury, the Oasis Hamaca is an all-inclusive family resort. The Sun Village Resort and Spa is located in the Puerto Plata district of the Dominican Republic. This all-inclusive resort is built into the side of a hill that leads directly to the white sand beach. On site are seven pools with beautiful landscaping. Two of the pools have swim-up bars, and there are 6 other bars on the property as well. The cuisine is high end and international. The Sun Village also has an on site spa offering massage, manicure, pedicure, a hair salon, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a large hot tub. Spa services will be an additional charge, however. Ranked in the top 5 by the Traveler’s Choice Awards in 2006, The Excellence Punta Cana is a prime example of the type of resorts available in Punta Cana. The Excellence is home to a mile and a half of beautiful white sand beaches. There is a swimming pool with a bar you can swim right up to. There are four hundred guest rooms which come with a private balcony. From your balcony, guests have a great view of the mountains, the water, or the beautiful garden.



The Excellence has five excellent restaurants onsite. Room service is available twenty-four hours a day. Breakfast is complimentary and there is also a buffet for guests wanting a more casual dining experience. If you want to relax, there is a spa and hair salon. In Samana, the resorts are newer. The Gran Bahia Principe El Portillo opened in the fall of 2006. While the unspoiled beauty may be enough for visitors, there are plenty of organized activities for people to do at this all-inclusive resort . Guests can enjoy the main swimming pool with open-air whirlpool, tennis courts, a gym, and a theatre. The children will be entertained by the supervised children's program The resort has 4 restaurants including 3 a la carte and 4 bars including a pool bar and a beach bar.
