The Ultimate Resorts Tailored To Stargazers

Most of us live in cities and can’t see a star in the sky. That is too bad as a sky full of stars is amazing. If you love looking at them, then you should know about the ultimate resorts for stargazers.

If you need some perspective in your life, doing a bit of stargazing will give you it. Whether it is just looking at our moon or a far off star that is many light years away, checking out the celestial bodies will quickly become addictive. Given this, why not combine a vacation with the best stargazing in the world? Yes, I am talking about resorts that offer it.

Welcome to Chile, more specifically, the Atacama Desert in Chili. Most deserts are vacant, empty places. This one is as well, but it is unique in that it is particularly located in a way that makes it the best place in the world to look up and consider the universe. The skies are nearly always clear and there is not pollution or light to ruin or impair the view. How good is the stargazing? The resorts in the area provide viewing areas and top of the line telescopes. The views are so amazing that amateur astronomers come from around the world to take in the view.

So, what resorts are offered in the area? The foremost is generally considered to be the Hotel De Larache. Not only does it offer viewings, but it comes with its own small viewing dome. A guide provides a discussion of the viewable bodies in the night sky five days a week.

A second resort of note is Tierra Acatama. This resort is located at Calle Séquitor s/n, Ayllú de Yaye, San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. Guest can do more than just take a quick look through a telescope. Instead, local astronomers will guide guests out to do viewings based on how locals have traditionally viewed the night sky.

As the years go by, themed resorts continue to pop up in new areas. The idea of creating a resort for stargazers may have seemed far fetched only a decade ago, but no longer. Chile is a beautiful country, so look into it.
